Our story
RopeTech was founded in 2016 with the aim of providing inspection and maintenance services for hard‑to‑reach locations using rope access. We currently employ nine rope‑access professionals. Our founder, Antti Liikala, has over 10 years of experience in industrial rope access and more than 20 years in quality, HSE, installation supervision, and NDT.
Our rope technicians are IRATA‑ and GWO‑certified professionals with extensive experience working in demanding conditions and at height. RopeTech’s operations are guided by quality, safety, and flexibility — we work efficiently even while production is ongoing. The most important thing for us is to understand our customers’ needs and provide solutions that stand the test of time and use.
We work in close cooperation with NDT Inspection & Consulting and also operate as NDT inspectors in Finland and across Europe.
Safety as a cornerstone
RopeTech’s rope technicians are IRATA‑certified professionals. IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) is an international governing body for industrial rope access that ensures safe and efficient rope‑access standards. Certification requires practical skills, teamwork, and rescue competence, ensuring that work at height is carried out in a controlled manner with minimal risk.
In addition, our technicians have completed GWO BST (Basic Safety Training), which covers the essential safety standards in the field. The training includes first aid, firefighting, rescue, and ergonomics, and is a prerequisite for safe work in wind farms. GWO BST certification demonstrates that our technicians are capable of working safely and professionally in demanding conditions.
We maintain our safety expertise through continuous training. We have our own training facilities where technicians regularly practice rescue situations, work methods, and technical skills. This ensures that every employee is prepared to work safely in all conditions — every time.
